Winner of the Tenth Annual Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Dang Thai Son is known the world over. Now living in Montreal, he is a welcome guest with I Musici de Montréal in Chopin’s wonderfully romantic Concerto No. 2 in F minor. Also on the program is Beethoven’s magnificent String Quartet No. 4 in C minor, Op. 18/4, one of the towering masterpieces of the chamber music repertory. We hear it in Yuli Turovsky’s orchestrated version.
